HWP Insurance Continues Growth Initiative in Southern Maryland

HWP Insurance is pleased to announce our latest business agreement.  Phyllis Blair, life and health insurance broker serving businesses in the Southern Maryland area for 35 years, has joined our Employee Benefits Division.   Phyllis’ client relationships, commitment to customer service and focus on small group benefits provides a natural fit for our Employee Benefits division and HWP Insurance as a whole.

HWP Insurance is an independently owned insurance brokerage firm that has been serving business and personal clients in the Washington metropolitan region for over a century.  We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality service and insurance advice to our clients.  Our approach involves carefully listening to our customers, providing our staff with the best possible technical resources and building long-term relationships with our clients and carrier partners.

“Phyllis’ commitment to customer care, focus on employee benefits and her Southern Maryland roots made entering into this agreement easy.  Phyllis’ business mission mirrors our HWP mission and for that we are grateful to have Phyllis on our team,” stated Ed Bonifant, CEO and Principal of HWP Insurance.

Phyllis began her career as a self-employed life and health insurance broker 35 years ago and was consistently recognized by Monumental Insurance as a top agent.  Phyllis will be serving her existing clients from our Hughesville location.  “My relationship with HWP provides me with the unlimited resources of a hundred year old organization while at the same time allowing me to provide the same level of service and customer care that my clients are accustomed to and I’ll be able to do so locally from HWP’s Hughesville office,” stated Phyllis.

HWP Insurance serves clients from three fully staffed offices strategically located throughout the region. Headquartered in Washington, DC since our founding in 1916, we now have regional offices in Annapolis, MD and Hughesville, MD.
